Music & Arts Festival


Uhuru Academy has a creative and inquisitive Journalism Club.  Students have interviewed countless experts (e.g. police, UN workers, etc.) and everyday citizens to learn more about life in Kenya and sexual harassment.


From their interviews, students have created documentaries about life in IDP camps and sexual harassment.


The documentary A Life in the Shadow of Mt. Longonot placed first in the Kenyan National Drama Festival in 2014.
